Capturing Light with Painter, Bobby Beals

Bobby Beals is an artist and entrepreneur that started his own artist consulting agency in his early 20’s that resulted into owning and operating a fine art gallery and curating business. Beals made his impression as a painter in Santa Fe on historic Canyon Road with his fine art gallery, Beals & Co. Showroom and has participated in numerous art shows including Art Dubai, Loveland Sculpture Show and Jackson Hole Fine Art Fair. Among his passion projects, he curates pop up shows and spirited artistic dinners at luxury locations around Santa Fe.

The Santa Fean Magazine has featured Bobby Beals in their annual article People We Love. The Santa Fe Reporter named Beals Curator of the Year by popular vote and he was honored to be featured in Humans of New Mexico.

Private Pottery Experiences

This hands-on pottery experience is a beautiful way to slow down, get centered, and connect with the creative spirit of Santa Fe. Set in a charming adobe studio on Upper Canyon Road, each session is relaxed, playful, and deeply personal.

You’ll have the space to yourself—no crowds, no rushing—just time to explore the wheel in a welcoming, intimate setting.

The experience begins with a wheel-throwing demonstration, followed by gentle, one-on-one guidance as you create your own pieces. Whether it’s your first time at the wheel or you have prior experience, the session naturally adapts to you.

All materials are thoughtfully prepared for you, including clay, tools, and aprons. Just come ready to get a little muddy.

Your finished pieces will be carefully trimmed, glazed, and fired, then shipped to you within 4–6 weeks—a lasting reminder of your time in the studio. You’re welcome to create as much as you like during your session. Shipping is calculated separately once your work is complete.

Leather Tooling Experience

Learn the art of leather saddle tooling from a second-generation leatherworker. Focusing on creative expression - learn the process, then you’re free to make your own patterns and designs. Students will create functional pieces of leather art: wrist cuffs, keychains, bookmarks and coasters that make the perfect keepsake or gift.

Stained Glass Art Experience

Honeycomb Workshop: Create glass honeycomb ornaments you can take home that day! You’ll get to select from dozens of types of art glass, then learn how to utilize century’s-old techniques developed by Tiffany and others to bind the glass pieces together into a finished sun catcher ornament. (And yes, you can take it on a plane.)This one-time 1-hour-long workshop for novices. Appropriate for 10 and up.

Route 66 Centennial Workshop: This experience invites participants to create a commemorative glass sun catcher you can take home that day! One-time 2-hour-long workshop. Appropriate for ages 12 and up.

3D Succulent or Hummingbird Workshop: Our experience invites participants to create a 3D stained glass hummingbird ornament they can take home that day! Absolute novices are welcome! One-time 2-hour-long workshop. Appropriate for ages 15 and up.

Deep Dive: Traditional Leaded Panel Techniques: This experience invites participants to create unique, colorful leaded stained glass panels. Novices are welcome! This workshop happens over the course of 2 afternoons. Appropriate for ages 16 and up
